MANON LESCAUT in Dresden with CHRISTIAN THIELEMANN

Manon Lescaut will open this Saturday in Dresden with a new production by director Stefan Herheim. The production is set in a Paris workshop where the Statue of Liberty is being built. Its cold steel and scaffolding symbolise Herheim's main focus, a male notion of female freedom.

Mº Christian Thielemann will conduct the Dresden Staatskapelle.
