Opera Aurea è un sito nato per offrire agli appassionati ed estimatori dei grandi della lirica del primo novecento, opere e recital di antiche registrazioni storiche che vanno dal 1900 al 1960, completamente restaurate e trasferite su CD e DVD da Roberto Scandurra, musicologo, collezionista, divulgatore, ideatore e sviluppatore dei siti web dedicati ai grandi cantanti lirici del '900, tra cui: Giuseppe De Luca (con all'interno un personale omaggio di Roberto a Giacomo Lauri-Volpi), Giovanni Martinelli, Mario Del Monaco, Mario Lanza, Nicoletta Panni, Renata Tebaldi, Maria Callas, Beniamino Gigli, Peter Lindroos.

Opera Aurea is a site created to provide fans and admirers of the great opera of the early twentieth century, operas and recitals of ancient historical records ranging from 1900 to 1960, completely restored and transferred to CD and DVD by Roberto Scandurra, musicologist, collector, adviser, creator and developer of web sites dedicated to the great opera singers of the '900, including: Giuseppe De Luca (with a personal tribute from Roberto to Giacomo Lauri-Volpi), Giovanni Martinelli, Mario Del Monaco, Mario Lanza, Nicoletta Panni, Renata Tebaldi, Maria Callas, Beniamino Gigli, Peter Lindroos.

in aid of the Deutsche AIDS-Foundation on Saturday!

The Grand Opera Gala in support of the AIDS Foundation will again be held at the Deutsche Oper Berlin, the 19th occasion that the Opera has hosted the Gala. The event has become one of the most important charity functions to be hosted in the capital and is now an established fixture on Berlin's cultural and social calendar. Under the direction of Alain Altinoglu and working alongside the chorus and orchestra of the Deutsche Oper Berlin, top-class actors - both talented newcomers and established artists - will lay bare the world of opera in all its fascinating variety. Audiences can expect not only a distillation of pure opera in distinguished company but also the satisfaction of serving a cause that continues to affect us all.

Thiago Arancam participa de bate-papo no ‘estadão.com.br'

O tenor Thiago Arancam participou na manhã desta segunda-feira, 05, de uma entrevista exibida ao vivo pelo portal estadão.com.br. Diretamente de sua residência no Principado de Mônaco, na Europa, o artista falou sobre a carreira e as apresentações da ópera Manon Lescaut, de Giacomo Puccini, no Teatro Wielki, encenadas recentemente na Polônia. O bate-papo foi realizado via Hangout, ferramenta de bate-papo do Google.

Thiago Arancam, de 30 anos, foi o primeiro brasileiro a ingressar na conceituada “Accademia” de Canto Lírico do “Teatro Alla Scala” de Milão, em 2004. Desde então, o paulistano vem construindo uma sólida carreira no exterior, tendo protagonizado importantes montagens, como Carmen, Tosca e Norma.
